This workshop is designed to empower women and teens and remind them that no matter how daunting the challenge, they should never give up the fight. In moments of violence, we may find ourselves freezing or becoming startled, believing that we lack the strength to take action.I am here to demonstrate that physical strength and size are not the only useful attributes in an emergency situation. It is important to recognize that the battle starts from within, and there is a multitude of actions we can take to ensure our safety and the protection of our loved ones.
Workshop Techniques: You will learn basic techniques of: Striking, joint-locks and getting free from grapples.
Leiko Koga:
As a martial artist, I have a genuine passion for teaching and guiding my students towards personal growth and a fulfilling life.
My martial arts journey began in 1993 at the Instituto de Kung-Fu Shaolin in Brazil, and after the trial class I never left. From there I went to dream about becoming a world champion, which I achieved in 2006, with First place on Northern Free Hands Style, once that happened I found myself with a new, more difficult dream, to teach and help others the way Kung-Fu helped me.
My aspiration is to share all I can with anyone who is eager to learn and grow.
I believe discipline, respect and honor are essential attributes when searching for peace and a better world to live in. Kung-fu is a wonderful tool in the road to self-respect, confidence and a better life all together.
