In our current landscape, we want our burlesque and drag community to feel strong and powerful, both physically and mentally.
So we’re teaming up with Jess & Oswyn from Fit POWER LLC for a Self-Defense for Burlesque & Drag Performers hybrid workshop!
This FREE 90 minute workshop is open to all burlesque, drag, and nightlife performers, including those outside of Ithaca. Learn self-defense laws, verbal and physical de-escalation tactics, and practice breaking grips in a queer, performer-centered space. Invite a partner or friend to join you to practice moves in person or listen in on your own.

》Verbal De-escalation Tactics
》Physical De-escalation tactics using grip breaks and conversation
》Redirecting unwanted touch or hugging
