Matthew will examine the way that the sense of self is an effect, rather than cause. "We'll explore the self’s inherent defensiveness and the way that self-view compounds the pain. This egoic energy becomes invested in a whole range of views and stabilizes our sense of self. But, in the end, all of this clinging is futile. The dharma invites us into an open space, releases our fixations and makes a home in that spaciousness."
The day will include sitting and walking meditation, guided practice, dharma talks and time for dialogue. All are welcome.
