Is your teen (ages 14-17) looking for ways to manage stress, build confidence, and develop healthy coping strategies? Join licensed therapist Jordan North (MS, M.Ed, LPC, LSC) for Self-Care Sundays, a supportive and interactive six-week course designed to help teens explore self-care, emotional regulation, and personal growth—all in a casual, peer-supported environment at Sukha Inspired Yoga.
Each week, we’ll dive into different self-care tools, offering practical techniques, constructive feedback, and an empathy-forward space where teens can explore what works best for them.
Course Schedule & Topics:
📖 Week 1 – Journaling: Discover the benefits of journaling and take home materials to kickstart your own reflective practice.
🎶 Week 2 – Music, Media & Poetry: Share meaningful art and engage in discussions about how media influences emotions and well-being.
🧘 Week 3 – Meditation: Learn simple meditation techniques to incorporate mindfulness into daily life.
🚶 Week 4 – Movement & Mindfulness: Get outdoors in one of Englewood’s Metroparks to explore mindfulness through movement.
🧎 Week 5 – Yoga: Experience the Sukha way! Join certified yoga instructors in exploring the mind-body benefits of yoga.
🌍 Week 6 – Community & Meaning: Build a personal resource list of supportive community spaces and reflect on what gives life meaning.
