About this Event
Winter is not just a calendar season, it is a season of your life. We associate winter with the cold, a time to stay indoors and bundle up, a time to slow down, a time to do less. The concept of “wintering” embraces this season and recognizes the importance of this time to withdraw and retreat, to reflect and recuperate, to replenish and re-group before moving into the next season. It’s a time of transition and a necessary process for new growth. In a society that places so much value on being productive, staying busy, and always having something to do, how do we “winter” without feeling guilt or shame. During this Self-Care Sunday we will explore the process of “wintering” and embracing this season through self-compassion. This mini-retreat will include some gentle yoga, guided meditation, time for reflection and discussion, a delicious and healthy lunch with assorted teas, a self-care gift including the book "Wintering" by Katherine May, and will end with a Yoga Nidra session. No prior yoga experience is necessary. Make yourself a priority and join us for this rejuvenating mini-retreat and know that you are worthy of this time.
