About this Event
What does it really mean to effectively teach - better yet - integrate social-emotional learning skills? What misconceptions may exist about SEL and how can we use our newfound knowledge to bust these myths and become SEL leaders in our building? What practical strategies can we use to help our kiddos of ALL ages build resilience and take steps toward becoming self-aware, socially-aware, responsible human beings who can self regulate and build healthy relationships? This interactive workshop is designed to empower educators with the knowledge and tools to seamlessly integrate the CASEL 5 Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) skills-Self-Awareness, Self-Management, Social Awareness, Relationship Skills, and Responsible Decision-Making-into their everyday teaching practices. Suitable for all grade levels and content areas, this session will guide teachers through understanding the core SEL competencies and provide practical strategies for embedding these skills into their classroom routines, lesson plans, and general teaching philosophy.
