Sektion Sound Ableton Live Beginners Series Lesson 1: Orientation

In this introductory lesson, students will become familiar with the essential settings and features of Ableton Live. They will learn about audio settings such as bitrate and sample rate, gain an understanding of the differences between arrangement and session views, and explore the distinction between MIDI and audio tracks. You will learn to warp and transpose audio samples, as well as place midi notes. You will also learn organizational techniques such as grouping tracks and using sends. By the end of the lesson, students will have a solid foundation in navigating Ableton Live's interface and be ready to start creating music.
