The Seisuke Knife Festival is a culturally immersive event designed to celebrate the artistry of traditional Japanese knife making. Hosted at the prestigious Asakusa View Hotel Annex Rokku in Tokyo, Japan, the festival brings together master craftsmen, culinary enthusiasts, and musicians to explore the heritage and craftsmanship of Japanese knives through demonstrations, exhibitions, and engaging presentations.
This exclusive one-day festival features two intimate sessions, each welcoming approximately 100 guests to experience the intersection of traditional Japanese craftsmanship and modern culinary innovation. Set in the heart of historic Asakusa, Tokyo, the event combines live demonstrations from master knife makers, cultural performances including an oiran procession, and interactive experiences led by renowned Chef Tu David Phu.
Attendees will have the unique opportunity to witness traditional forging techniques, browse a collection of exquisite knives, and engage directly with craftsmen including Yu Kurosaki, Yoshimi Kato, Takumi Ikeda, and Kazuo Nomura. The Edo-inspired experience is enhanced by seasonal refreshments, live music, and the chance to acquire exceptional hand-crafted knives directly from legendary makers.

Info: Guests will be treated to live music by Japanese musician Kazumaro Kaminami and a dance performance by an Edo-period style oiran, immersing all in the splendor of the age of traditional Japanese craftsmanship.
Craftsmen Introduction & Presentation
Info: One by one, Japan's renowned traditional blacksmiths will take to the stage to discuss the unique characteristics of their craft and their commitment to the art, showing off their stunning new projects and pieces.
Chef Tu’s Knife Demonstration
Info: Award-winning chef, author, and filmmaker Tu David Phu will take guests on an immersive culinary experience, showcasing essential knife skills and food preparation with fine Japanese knives.
Knife Sales Booth
Info: Eventgoers will have the opportunity to directly browse and buy from a vast selection of handmade Japanese knives of various styles and steel types, brought by the legendary makers themselves. In addition, name engraving services by artisans Daiki Mukai and Michiko Kubota.
Delicious Refreshments
