Seid is a practice within Norse magic that has clear similarities with shamanism. It can be used to work with the life threads, achieve visions, healing and new personal insights. Seid is performed intuitively through singing, which puts the practitioner in a trance. A story from Eirik the Red's saga will form the basis for the type of seid we explore.Lindy-Fay Hella is best known as singer in the music group Wardruna. Among other things, she will share her experiences and thoughts about voice use and singing as a source of inner power.
Inger Johanne has extensive experience with Nordic shamanism, including seid, galder and runes. She will lead the part about trance and seid ceremony.
No prior knowledge is required to participate, although shamanic experience is an advantage, it is not a requirement.
