From the isolated northern reaches of the Netherlands, the sweeping beam of a lighthouse glides over the land, illuminating a world of stark simplicity and tranquil beauty, punctuated by the fierce roar of the wind. This is the soundscape that defines Seewolf. Their music reflects a deep passion for minimalism, paired with the patience to tell their stories in their own time.A few years ago, Seewolf brought a piece of musical history to the Netherlands: a tape machine shipped all the way from California. This machine, once housed in the iconic Wally Heider Recording Studio in San Francisco, captured the music of legends like Neil Young, Van Morrison, Tom Waits, and The Grateful Dead during the 1970s. Now, 50 years later, the evocative sounds of Seewolf flow through the same channels, connecting past and present.
On December 9, 2022, the band released their High Hopes EP, a prelude to what’s to come. Currently, they are immersed in recording their full-length album, set for release in 2024. Leading up to the album’s launch, fans can look forward to new singles and videos. Seewolf is eager to share this new chapter of their music with the world.
