Be part of an inspiring and thought-provoking evening as we screen SEEN: The Film, a powerful documentary exploring the long-term impact of childhood trauma and the journey of healing to create stronger, healthier families and then join our Q&A conversation after the film all about how this relates to supporting families in education environments.
This special event includes:

β¨ A live 45-minute Q&A panel with experts & parents featured in the film, and its creators, including;
- Joe Williams β Parent in the film, ex NRL player
- Sam Jockel β Founder and CEO of ParentTV, and producer of the film
- Child Austraila - Local not for profit organisation dedicated to improving outcomes for children.
- β¨ A 1.5 hour professional development session on "Trauma Informed Practice in Early Childhood''.
This professional development workshop session will explore trauma-informed practices in Early Years Settings such as ELC, School and OSHC programs, focusing on creating safe environments, consistent routines, and a culture of empathy. It will provide practical strategies for recognising and responding to trauma-related behaviours, backed by research and real-world case studies. Attendees will gain insights into supporting children experiencing trauma and learn how to adapt their practices effectively. The session will also highlight the importance of staff training and self-care, emphasising how well-supported educators can foster healing spaces for children

This is an opportunity to delve deeper into the stories behind the film and spark meaningful conversations about healing, parenting, and breaking cycles of trauma.
This Darwin screening is presented in partnership with Child Australia, who is a not for profit organisation dedicated to improving outcomes for children by providing quality initiatives and services to professionals, the community, parents and children.
