About this Event
SEEK will be holding the first Physiology Fun Day event of the year for the third and fourth graders at Estabrook Elementary on Thursday, April 17, 2025 @ 10:00AM - 12:30PM. All teaching lessons and activities have been prepared, and training will be provided in person (Zoom option available) the week prior. Lunch will be provided at both the training and the event. Carpooling arrangements are also available. This event is a fun way to share your enthusiasm for science and teaching with the next generation of learners - a full description of the PhysFun day is below. To learn more about what we do through SEEK, please visit our website and outreach page.
We currently have divided 3rd graders into three educational and interactive stations, each with an individual focus on a particular body system. This year, stations include: (1) Cardiovascular system (2) Respiratory system (3) Gastrointestinal/digestive system.
Meanwhile, the 4th graders will be divided into three stations: (1) Neuro (2) Sensory (3) Musculoskeletal systems.
If you have a preference on a specific station you'd like to volunteer at, please make sure to select it in the 'add-on' section.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out to the SEEK Leadership Team at [email protected] with any questions, concerns, or ideas. Thank you all for your ongoing support and commitment to spreading science education!
