Slowmotif welcomes the Denver debut of Fennec with local vinyl maestros Frazh & Mateyo Friday, April 26 for Seek at Fort Greene ? Austin, TX based Fennec has been making tunes and spinning grooves since his first original mixtape in 2014, Let Your Heart Break.
With an extensive catalog of releases, the Korean American DJ and producer showcases an eclectic blend of influences drawing on artists like The Avalanches, DJ Koze, and Moodymann to craft chopped-up, loopy, and playful dance music.
Fennec’s wide range of releases on London’s Thirty Year Records, Brooklyn’s HAUS of ALTR, and his own label Fennec Sound, acclaim has been well-received from Pitchfork, Bandcamp, and Resident Advisor.
Most notably, Fennec’s 2020 track “Boy-U” was named by Rolling Stone as one of the 200 Greatest Dance Songs of All Time.
