When we cultivate peace within ourselves, we naturally bring more peace to those around us. Inspired by contemporary Buddhist philosophy, this interactive 2-hour mindfulness workshop explores how personal awareness and compassion ripple outward to shape the world we share.
Through guided meditation, gentle movement, insightful dialogue, and reflective journaling, we'll explore what it means to live from a place of balance and harmony. Together, let's uncover practical ways to respond rather than react, to listen deeply, and to embody the peace and connection we wish to see and feel.
You'll leave with simple practices and rituals to nurture daily calm, strengthen compassion, and reconnect to your innate capacity for mindful awareness and loving presence.
Bring a yoga mat, journal, and pen. Wear comfortable clothes. No prior experience required.

Sarah Maxwell, PhD, is an organizational psychologist and holistic wellness practitioner whose passion is helping people learn, grow and thrive. Founder of White Owl Advisory, Sarah provides mindfulness-based and intuitive coaching, consultation and training to individuals and groups. Her facilitation style is heart-centered, grounded, playful and pragmatic.
People are drawn to Sarah's warm and welcoming nature, wise perspective, calming energy and ability to hold safe space for inner exploration. Her highest intention is to help us come home to ourselves and elevate the leader within. She envisions a world that provides deeper connection to self, others, and the space between us of infinite possibilities.
Sarah completed yoga teacher certification in 2009, mindfulness teacher training in 2016, and her doctorate in 2020. She teaches regularly at Yoga One on Thursdays and Saturdays. She offers personal insight and guidance through spiritual readings by request.
