Learn how to grow healthy spring seedlings right on your windowsill in this hands-on seed starting class. We’ll explore traditional methods like containers and peat pellets, as well as modern favorites like seed snails, and show you what to look for at each stage of development.
Along the way, you’ll learn how to choose the right seeds, understand when to start them, spot what’s normal at each growth stage, and troubleshoot common issues before they become problems.
Each participant will receive:
- A windowsill seed starting kit
- Three packets of seeds – select (1) Nightshade variety (Tomatoes & Peppers), (1) Cucurbit variety (Cucumbers & Melons), and (1) Flower variety
- Seed starting soil to fill the tray
- Helpful handouts to take home so you can keep growing long after class ends.
By the end of the class, you’ll feel confident caring for your seedlings and moving them successfully into the garden when the time is right.
