It might be winter... but it’s the perfect time to think about plants! “Winter sowing” is a low-cost, easy, and reliable way to wake up dormant seeds and get a head start on the growing season. The class will involve an explanation of the process of winter sowing as well as a hands-on workshop so that you can start some seeds of your own. We will also cover seed starting indoors. Oftentimes, we want certain types of vegetables or flowers that are difficult to find as plants in the spring. Why not grow your own starter plants? We will cover information about timing, supplies, and how to successfully start plants indoors.
Instructors: Anna Mummert, Penn State Master Gardener of Adams County, Mary Ann Ryan, Master Gardener Coordinator
