Ready to create beautiful garden ornaments inspired by nature’s seed pods?In this fun and creative ceramic workshop, you’ll be guided through the pottery process, from shaping the clay to adding more intricate details. Throughout the morning, you’ll be taught step-by-step instructions on how to build and design your garden ornaments using traditional hand-building techniques. You will make 3 in total. In the afternoon, you’ll learn how to
apply glaze to your work. This process is called raw glazing, which means your work will only need to be fired once in the kiln, which reduces electricity use and helps the environment.
Whether a newbie or experienced potter, you’ll love unleashing your artistic side. All materials are provided, including 3 metal rods of varying heights, but please do bring an apron or wear old clothes. If possible, trim any long nails. This may help when modelling the clay.
