Are you interested in learning about seed saving? Interested in how to harvest seeds and clean then? Join us as we explore these topics with Nancy Hainsworth from Nancy's Creation and Seeds. During this workshop you’ll learn lessons that you can take back to your homes, community or school garden and green spaces. You’ll be engaged in hands-on learning, exploring, and take-home activities. Join us!
This workshop is a part of the YFS Seed Stewards Program where youth around waterloo region will help to increase access to open pollinated, heirloom, and regionally adapted seeds for school based food production, and support stronger school ground ecosystems through native plants and pollinator support by creating an inter-school seed library! These workshops are designed for youth and all ages the wider community are welcome! These workshops are facilitated by Youth in Food Systems with input from Nurture.
