Learn about the prairie and help collect seeds from different grasses and flowers as we walk through the prairie. Dubuque County Conservation staff will teach you how to identify and collect specific seeds. These collected seeds will be used to restore and supplement newly-restored areas of Sunnycrest Prairie. Terrain will be steep and uneven, please wear appropriate footwear and clothing for this. Registration appreciated, so adequate supplies can be brought for the event.
This event will be held at Sunnycrest Manor Prairie, located at: 2375 Roosevelt St, Dubuque, IA 52001. See the image below for parking (in red). We will walk along the yellow trail to access the prairie.
