This is the event for you! The KW Wildflower Seed Library will be giving away seeds for native flowers and plants (host plants or food sources for our pollinators). Stop by Jan 24, 2026 between 9:30-1pm to pick up your free seeds! @Cafe Clementina 17 Benton St, Kitchener, ON
Many varieties need 30 to 120 days of cold moist stratification. This means that they need to be planted soon and a period of cold to germinate this spring. If you're new to winter sowing, we will be giving demos and answering questions βitβs much easier than you think and a great activity to do with the entire family (or alone for quiet timeπ) to help nature and beautifies your garden.
The list of seeds available will follow soon.
Priority will be given to those attending in person.
Don't hesitate to let us know if you plan to attend and what you're interested in!
Sincere thanks to all those who donated seeds for this event including the @Guelph seed Library and a special shout out to the Ottawa Wildflower Seed Library who is sending us a large variety of seeds to share at this event. We recommend to join their Facebook group for more information on native plants and inspiration on how we can make a difference and help the environment.
