Security BSides is a recognised community-driven framework for building events by and for information security community members. These events are happening all over the world. Security BSides Athens started in 2016 in Athens, Greece, and focusses in offering the stage to all information security researchers, students, enthusiasts, including those professionals in the industry/academia/law enforcement, which want to participate, network, and educate themselves (and others).
The idea behind the Security BSides events is to organise an open Information Security conference* where security minded individuals come together to discuss ideas, security concerns, collaborations, opportunities and the next "big thing" in the security space.
Security BSides Athens is not restricted only to Ethical Hacking, but instead the conference is open to a wide range of subjects related to security such as Penetration Testing, Incident Response, IoT security, hardware hacking, computer forensics, security standards and of course, discussions around security compliance (challenges and solutions).
The conference brings together renowned Information Security professionals from all over the world (see our speakers in the directory) and gives to all participants the opportunity to network, educate and participate among like-minded individuals, while sharing or presenting their work. Please note that the conference is held in the English language.
Security BSides Athens is the ONLY deep-dive hands-on Information Security conference in Greece on Ethical Hacking, Penetration Testing, Information Assurance, Cyber Security and Cyber Defense.
