• Activity: Individually list your top 3 digital assets that must be protected, then discuss in groups how a breach could impact operations.


Module 2: Common Threats & Vulnerabilities

Info: • Phishing, malware, ransomware, insider risks
• Real-world examples in manufacturing & SMEs
• Activity: Spot-the-phish exercise (individual) followed by team brainstorming on the biggest cyber risks SMEs face in Winnipeg.


Module 3: Protecting Systems & Networks

Info: • Basics of firewalls, antivirus, and patch management
• Securing Wi-Fi, devices, and industrial systems
• Activity: Each participant checks off current security measures they use; teams then create a “minimum security checklist” for a small office.

• Activity: Quick individual password habits survey; team task—draft 3 rules for a secure remote work policy.


Module 6: Incident Response & Recovery

• Building an incident response plan
• Activity: Individuals write their first 3 steps in response to a cyber incident; groups run a tabletop ransomware scenario and present their plan.


Module 7: Building a Cyber-Resilient Culture

Info: • Staff awareness & training programs
• Security policies, compliance, and ongoing monitoring
• Activity: Each participant suggests one awareness idea; groups design a campaign slogan or poster concept.
