Two unique indie-rock / alt-pop bands from the Triangle! Secret Monkey Weekend + The Trick Threat take the Citizen Vinyl stage on Friday, August 9. High school senior Ella handles the bass. 7th grader Lila is a powerful drummer and lead singer. Papa Jefferson is on guitar and vocals.
THE TRICK THREAT is out with its brand of alt pop rock originals. The band takes an approach to music that focuses on delivering inventive songs with artistic simplicity. Co-founded by lead singer Alana Flowers Gibson and bassist Glenn Gibson, their influences include the Beatles and the Eagles, while also incorporating modern indie pop-rock sounds in the vein of Spoon, Tennis, and Wilco. They’re continuously exploring new ways to expand their style and sound.
