Princess Simpson Rashid is an American poet, essayist and visual artist. She was raised in New Jersey with roots in Georgia and Florida. Rashid is an active member
of Ancient City Poets and has been a featured reader for the Jax by Jax Literary Arts Festival, Sing Out Loud Festival and St. Augustine Poet Fest. Her work has been previously published in The Banyan Review, AC Papa Literary Journal, the Moss Gossamer and (a) River Rising-Anthology of Women’s Voices. Currently, she is working on her debut poetry collection entitled, “All Is Not What It Seems”.
Lynn Skapyak Harlin is a poet, editor and writer.
Her first published poem, “War Waste,” appeared in Time, (December 7,1970). Her poems have
appeared in The Aquarian, Gate, State Street Review, Shakespeare’s Cat Café, Arbus, Women’s
Voices, Section Eight Magazine, Florida Speaks, AC PAPA vol 1,2,3, &4 (Ancient City Poets,
Authors, Photographers and Artists), Moss Gossamer, JacksonVillain and on the web,
deadpaper.org and ashandbones.com.
Her chap books, Press One for More Options and Real Women Drive Trucks were published by
Closet Books in 1997. Happy Tapir Press published Age Changes in 2017. Her collection of 90
poems, Twists and Turns (2019) and All Shapes and Sizes (2022) were published by Hidden
Owl, LLC.
Lynn lives in Jacksonville, Florida with her husband, Jim Harlin who is what every writer needs, a passionate reader.
