Michaela Turcerová is a musician and composer from Banská Bystrica in Slovakia based in Copenhagen, playing alto/soprano saxophone and bass clarinet in the realm of partly open scores, (un)conventional notations, conceptual ideas, minimalism and physical space . She leads doudouči ensemble and ensemble šum.um, works on her solo project IN FLUX, and plays in multiple groups, including ALAWARI, Wolfskin Ensemble, and mocean. With degrees in classical composition and saxophone from Banská Bystrica and a jazz education from HAMU and the Rhythmic Music Conservatory, her musical heart was brought up in underground venues with Via Anima.Second Sundays is a monthly series initiated by Q-O2. Each session a new guest is invited to share an insight into their own listening, playing and speaking about a selection of sound and music that is important to their thinking or practice. The sessions try to put value on listening to recorded music in a social setting as a space for discussion. Each session is paired with a cocktail-of-the-month, as decided by the invited guest.
