He holds an M.F.A. and a J.D. from the University of Florida and has served as poetry editor for Bridge Eight and Compose and as a poetry reader for New England Review and $ - Poetry Is Currency. His audio chapbook Season of the Dead (EAT Poems, 2016) is available free on line.
Abel Harding is a long-time bank executive. A former journalist, Abel is active in the Jacksonville
community and has served on a number of nonprofit and government boards, including the Jacksonville
Transportation Authority and the Jacksonville Planning Commission. He currently serves as chair of JAX
USA, the economic development arm of JAX Chamber, and as the vice chair of the Cummer Museum’s
board of trustees. A 7 th generation Floridian, Abel calls Atlantic Beach home.
