Join us Saturday, February 14th during Second Saturday ArtWalk for the opening of “Divine Reflection” by David Kafer, @hiyadavidkafer, our featured artist for the month of February at Forever Florida Real Estate (2629 Central Ave). Along side new and complementary pieces by our resident artist Wasíl, this show is going to be colorful and just plain awesome.David Kafer is a Master Hairdresser, Artist and Writer. Kafer originally hails from Chicago, has been with his husband, Jason, for 29 years and now lives in St. Petersburg, FL.
Kafer ‘s colorful art can be found in private collections, local art markets and at PAGEBOY - a co-owned mixed model of salon, apothecary, vintage market and an art gallery; located at 320 5th AVE. N. in downtown St. Pete.
Kafer’s work has been featured in Allure Magazine, Elle Magazine and Chicago Magazine; as well as seen on The Rachael Ray Show. He’s worked with: Chelsea Clinton, Michelle Williams, Marlee Matlin, Kesha, America's Next Top Model All-Stars, Perez Hilton, DEV, Mally Roncal, Arcade Fire, Gretta Monahan, Young the Giant, Taylor Miller and The National - to name just a few. Kafer has also worked on campaigns for H&M, Old Navy and EXPRESS.
EXHIBITION STATEMENT
I'm a lover of fashion, color and self-expression. As a hairdresser and visual artist, capturing someone's reflection is not always what you see on the outside, rather seeing the DIVINE in us all.
Wasíl’s art breaks free from traditional frames, creating immersive installations that invite viewers to engage and connect. With biomorphic influences and natural references, his work symbolizes authenticity and our roots, evoking deep memories—like the sound of waves on the shore.
