About this Event
Southeastern California Conference’s (SECC) annual Youth Leadership Convention focuses on equipping children's, youth, young adult, and club ministry leaders by creating opportunities for them to grow and thrive in their ministries. We wish to empower leaders who call upon young people to engage in relevant issues of our time in a spirit of learning and love for Jesus Christ.
Leadership Convention Details
We are offering breakout sessions through five tracks: Adventurers, Pathfinders, Children & Family Ministries, Youth & Young Adult ministries, and "Growing Together 2025," which teaches the new features and model of our intergenerational conference curriculum. Attendants will choose their breakouts during registration and are allowed to choose breakouts from different tracks. To learn more, visit
Our keynote speaker this year is Pastor Iki Taimi, lead pastor at La Sierra University Church. Pastor Iki has a heart for young people and holds many years of experience in youth ministry. Registration Process
The cost to attend the Convention is $49. An Early Bird rate of $29 will be available through June 30. Should space remain, registration less than three weeks from the Convention will cost $89. Ticket is for Friday & Saturday (no Sabbath only pass). Children are not allowed to attend the event, aside from high school aged ministry leaders who attend with an adult church leader. Priority will be given to SECC members. Refunds for cancelled tickets are available through August 23; afterwards, cancellations must still be charged.
Lodging
Lodging is not provided in the cost of registration. For those interested in lodging Friday night, SECC Youth has a special rate of $125/room (plus tax) at the Ayres Hotel Corona East, 2.5 miles from La Sierra University. You can contact them at 951-734-2140 and let them know you are booking for the SECC Youth Leadership Convention, September 13. Rooms must be reserved no later than August 23 to receive the event rate. Lodging is not provided at La Sierra University.
Guest Expectations
All guests are expected to comply with La Sierra University and SECC rules and safety protocols. Refusal to comply will result in guests being asked to leave without refund.
