A day of capturing all there is below the surface at the Reotahi Marine Reserve. This event is all about jumping in the water and documenting what there is to see out there in the vibrant and underrated Pataua Estuary. EMR will be able to provide fins, wetsuits and mask and snorkels but if you have your own gear, specifically your own underwater camera (GoPros are fine!), please bring them along. The more photos we can get, the better. Masks, snorkels, fins and wetsuits provided. Strong snorkelling ability is required. This event is funded by Seaweek and Lotteries. The event is targeted specifically at rangatahi under the age of 34, but all are welcome. Prior experience as an EMR volunteer or strong snorkelling abilities are required. This event is a part of our Marine Mahi for Rangatahi pathway. Through this pathway we are looking to identify rangatahi to participate in further exciting marine experiences and one rangatahi (taitamariki) into a work experience and potential SCUBA training through our partnership with Dive! Tutukaka.
