This is the fourth Seattle Women’s Super Weekend!!! As always, the goal for us SW2 TDs is to create a convention-style weekend of pinball where women's tournaments are the focus and open tournaments are the “extras.” One of my biggest hopes with SW2 was to demonstrate that when women make up a large percentage of participants they also show up in the winners’ circle more frequently. I truly believe we have proved that fact with our SW2 open events. I get so much joy from seeing an open event participant list that's closer to half women! That being said, the two “main” tournaments of the weekend are endorsed for women's IFPA points - and I always plan SW2 for the weekend after the Babes first Thursday so we can tack on another womens tourney to the weekend!
This brings the total number of SW2 tourneys to six - if you count the photo booth high score challenge as one of them, which I am!
