The Seattle Classic 2022 will be played Friday June 24, Saturday June 25, and Sunday June 26, over Seattle Gay-Pride Weekend.
All events will take place at the Nordstrom Tennis Center on both the indoor and outdoor hard courts.
This year we have also secured very inexpensive on-campus housing for any in-need that comes with a bonus meal-plan card to use during the event!
Play will begin at 8am and matches will be assigned and played on indoor or outdoor courts as they become available.
Play will conclude at 9pm on Friday, 6pm on Saturday, and no later than 5pm on Sunday, weather and schedules permitting.
EVENTS
Events will include men’s singles and doubles for Open, A, B, C, and D level players
A consolation event will be held for those players who lose their first round of singles.
USTA NTRP Rating
Open-Highly Advanced Players NTRP rating of 5.0 or above
A-Advanced Players NTRP rating of 4.5
B-High Intermediate Player NTRP rating of 3.5-4.0
C-Low Intermediate Player NTRP rating of 3.0
D-Low Intermediate Player NTRP rating of 2.5
FEES
One event $125
Two events $135
*Maximum of 2 events are allowed.
*Players may only play in one singles or doubles event, OR one singles and one doubles event.
Payment is required at the time of registration.

Our banquet will take place on the UW Campus – and within walking distance (1 mile) of the tennis courts.
MATCH FORMAT
All main draw matches will be best two out of three sets with the 3rd set being a super-tiebreaker (10pt tiebreaker). For the first two sets, regular scoring (no ad) with 12-point tiebreakers (first to 7pts by 2) played at six games all.
Match format modifications may be made at the discretion of the Tournament Director
due to weather or time related constraints.
Consolation Play-Consolation play will be offered to singles players who lose their first singles match.
Consolation play will begin on Saturday. Match format will be eight game pro sets with no-ad scoring. At seven games all a 12-point tiebreak (first to 7pts by 2) will be played.
Consolation finals will be the same as main draw play. We ask your patience during consolation play, as certain players still could be involved with main draw play in another event.
FOOD
The tournament will provide snacks for players on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and lunch on Saturday only. Those wishing additional food will find many shops within driving distance including at University Village Shopping Mall University VillageHome - University Village (uvillage.com)
HOST HOTEL
We have secured on-campus housing at the University of Washington! While this is not accommodations in the gayborhood, it’s as close as we could get people to the courts – for what is a VERY good price! If you take advantage of this – you can almost roll out of bed and walk to the tennis courts – and then of course walk back to your room to relax – again, all on the campus of University of Washington.

Double Occupancy: $96 per night per person + tax
Single Occupancy: $139 per night +tax

But wait, there’s more!
The above prices INCLUDE an on-campus food service credit of $82.00! You’ll be given a food debit card by the University and be able to use this debit card at any University of Washington food housing location, and/or in any card-operated vending machine on campus!
Also, you don’t have to stay 3 nights, however, you do have to pay the minimum above for three nights of lodging. There is no credit for shorter stays or unused dining funds or meal allotments.

Early arrivals and late departures will be accepted on a space-available basis!
Costs for early arrivals/late departures are as follows:
$72.00 per person, per night, double occupancy
$115 per person, per night, single occupancy
Early arrivals/late departures do NOT include food service.
