About this Event
Description: As the nights become longer, we're pulled to draw inward and hibernate. However, the final two months of the year encompass the "Season of Giving," a time for us to connect with family, friends, and community through food, service, and customs. "It's better to give than to receive," especially from a full cup. This two-hour yin sequence will allow you to release what no longer serves you to make room to receive what is needed to fill your cup during the holiday season.
Bio: Kayla Schiller (she/they) is a yoga teacher, writer, and dietitian from Queens, NY. A native New Yorker, she has always struggled with slowing down (and still does, from time to time), perfectionism & disordered eating weakening her union of body & mind. Getting into asana during high school, Kayla didn't deepen her practice until the end of college before getting her 200-hour RYT in 2018 from Yoga Vida & a 50-hour Yin & Restorative Certification in 2019 from Sacred Sounds Yoga. She became a registered dietitian in 2020 and has since been integrating eastern & western practices of medicine and wellness to better care for patients. She believes that yin & meridian asana are essential to the magic of holistic health, and how we develop on the mat reflects how we develop off the mat.
