Opening Reception: ‘The Seasons of Chester County’Paintings by Artist Don Shoffner

Sunset Hill Fine Arts Gallery at 23 North High St, West Chester, PA presents the opening of a solo exhibition featuring the work of local artist Don Shoffner as part of the Downtown West Chester Gallery Walk on Friday, October 4, 2024 from 4:00pm-8:00pm.
Award winning artist Don Shoffner grew up in Chester County, Pennsylvania amid the rolling hills, gorgeous green fields and architecture from a time nearly forgotten. See how he captures their utility, texture, and integrity before they disappear from our landscape. Working in watercolor, India ink and oil, Don’s works depict the seasons in their subdued hues. His seascapes reflect the peaceful nature and warmth of the southern shores while his Italian landscapes feature eccentric and joyous views.
For those who live here and for those who have moved away Don’s paintings are reminders of why Chester County is such a special place.
The exhibit will be available October 4th through November 1st on the second-floor art gallery.
