Seasons of Becoming: A Clothing Tale

Style is a transformation born from revelation, and this is a Season of Becoming. In just 90 minutes, we’ll explore the emotional weight and quiet power of what we wear, how our clothes shape our self-image, and how they reflect the stories we carry. This session honors the body as it is, beautiful, evolving, and worthy of care, and offers a space to explore how to dress it with agency, presence, and grace.

Through guided reflections, understanding silhouette, styling demonstrations, and a fun sweater exchange, we’ll take a closer look at our wardrobes, and ourselves.

Some questions to ponder on until Dec. 2nd…

1. When did I start dressing for comfort… and when did I stop?
2. From the choosing I wear, where did they come from—fear or freedom?
3. What does my body long to feel, and how might clothing help me honor that?
4. What have I outgrown—not just in size, but in self?

To Bring:

• Come with a sweater to exchange and leave with something new

Located in The Barstow Conference Room at The Coven Eau Claire.

Info: We begin with grounding and introductions, guided by a simple prompt:
“What word describes how you want to feel in your clothes?”

Info: Clothing holds emotion—joy, grief, identity. We explore these connections through shared stories and soft reflection. Participants are invited to recall a memory tied to a garment they’ve kept or released.

Info: This is about honoring the body, not altering it. We’ll explore silhouettes, drape, and emotional texture. With live examples or volunteers, we’ll practice styling from the inside out.

Info: A gentle exchange: participants release a sweater no longer aligned with their current self and choose one that speaks to where they are headed. A quiet act of transformation.

Info: An open dialogue—on body acceptance, styling blocks, and how clothing can support emotional evolution.

Info: We close with this prompt:
“What does your body want to say today—and how will you dress in response?”
Each woman receives a reflection card to take home and continue the conversation.
