The Holiday season can be overwhelming and costly. According to NerdWallet, the National Retail Federation has estimated Americans can spend $1,000 on average for holiday related purchases and that does not include travel. Giving the perfect gift or cooking a holiday meal or trimming the tree can add up in expenses. Planning now will help alleviate undue stress and the financial reckoning to come. Developing a budget for anticipated expenses, tracking your spending and research are a few of the strategies you can use. Join the workshop to learn other methods to cure debt hangover and keep financial stability through the season.
About the Presenter
Susan Shields is a Senior Partner at Shields, Abate, Searle and Associates. As a practicing Certified Financial Planner and Certified Investment Management Analyst, she offers clients comprehensive management and advice related to all of their investments. Her day to day business includes providing long term financial planning and implementing investment strategies to meet client goals.
Rare among advisors, Susan’s years as an institutional investor with a strong background in fixed income securities, portfolio construction, and risk and investment management brings clients an extra measure of knowledge and know-how.
Generous with her time and resources, Susan is a board member of The Women's Center in Vienna and serves as co-chair of governance and is a member of the finance committee. She also supports several local charitable organizations.

Refund, Cancellation, No Show & Re-Scheduling Policy:
Participants who register for the workshop and do not attend or cancel their registration less than 24 hours prior to the start of the program, will not receive a refund.
Refunds (not including the processing fee) will be issued with 24 hour cancellation notice after the program has completed. Please submit your refund request for the event to: [email protected]
Participants who are not able to attend and have contacted the Women’s Center 24 hours prior to the workshop can re-schedule for the same workshop on another day, up to 6 months after the initial workshop date.
Full refunds will be issued for any program cancelled by The Women’s Center. If the program is rescheduled, we will offer to transfer the cost to the new date in lieu of a refund.
