About this Event
Seasonal Abundance: a low waste cooking series is a hands-on workshop bringing together community members to share in the seasonal bounty of NCW. Participants will learn low waste cooking techniques from local chefs while preparing several recipes using a featured produce item and other regionally bountiful ingredients. Each participant will leave with several new recipes and the inspiration to reduce food waste in their own kitchen. After enjoying a meal together, the extra prepared food will be shared with the Community Cupboard.
In October the featured ingredient will be pumpkin and other winter squash varieties. All parts of these hearty gourds can be used in the kitchen. Join us to learn how to creatively process and cook with these low waste superfoods!
