Join us for the opening concert in our 25/26 cultural season!Renowned soprano Gillian Zammit opens the season with a recital of French art song celebrating the anniversaries of Georges Bizet and Maurice Ravel. Bizet died 150 years ago, following a long period of ill-health exacerbated by the apparent failure of his opera Carmen. That same year Maurice Ravel was born in the town of Ciboure in the Basque Pyrenees. Ms Zammit, accompanied by pianist Elaine Mercieca, will sing two song-cycles, Bizet’s Feuilles d’Album and Ravel’s Shéhérazade.
