About this Event
In the UK, we have some of the most important seabird colonies in the world. As well as the huge colonies, there are many smaller seabird colonies, like Marsden, which contain thousands of birds and are accessible to all.
Join us on a guided walk along Marsden Beach to Lizard Point, as we observe the breeding colonies of kittiwakes, fulmars, herring gull, cormorant, Razorbill and guillemots on the cliff walls.
This is an outdoor event, so please wear warm and weather appropriate clothing and outdoor suitable footwear. Access to the beach is by steep steps.
Booking is essential.
This event is being delivered in partnership with Durham Bird Club and Durham County Council, and is a SeaScapes Coastal Wildlife Group event, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. For more information about the SeaScapes project please visit https://exploreseascapes.co.uk/
