Yes folks! Snappin with excitement for this one.. one more act to be announced and it'll be their first Nottingham show!
Still a few early birds so jump on it before they scarper!
SEAS OF MIRTH
Seas of Mirth are a high energy genre-swerving band with a interactive deep sea twist. From the East Midlands and fronted by two co-founding guitarists Al Judders and C Ball Paul, the group have worked hard to establish themselves on the UK festival scene, especially amidst their latest release 'Kriller'. PROG Magazine called it "a fun, clever and uplifting experience, like a foam party hosted by Frank Zappa and Tame Impala" and it enjoyed some airplay on 6music thanks to Stuart Maconie’s Freakzone. Featuring the award-winning single ‘Dig Out The Moves’ and the wonky dancefloor wildcard ‘Tiki Tak’, this album and its predecessor 'Sub Marine Dreams' form the backbone of a live set full of tickly riffs, tongue twisting lyrics, and high doses of joyous musical adventure. Musically, the band dabble in everything from worldly dance beats to wonky disco funk to psychey prog-folk, while the visual element is full on with UV lights, bubbles, flamboyant costumes and LED sea creatures on stage and in the crowd. During their existence the 'Mirth have played just about everywhere from headlining the Rabbit Hole at Glasto to a festival on a small island in the German Bight surrounded by seals.
ZOPP
Zopp, a British act whose music spans jazz-rock, ambient, folk, psychedelic rock and endless heaps of prog, particularly of the Canterbury variety. Expect gloriously intricate, intense fuzz organ heavy music, reminiscent of Soft Machine, Frank Zappa, and Egg. Zopp are breathing new life into the progressive genre, with two internationally critically acclaimed, award-winning studio albums to date. Sid Smith, writer for Prog Magazine and biographer for King Crimson, announced Zopp’s latest record ‘Dominion’ as his ‘favourite album of 2023’.
