🎗️ Why This Event Matters – Muzică pentru Viață
Muzică pentru Viață (Music for Life) is a long-running humanitarian initiative launched by Radio România Reșița, led by journalist and media manager Laura Sgaverdea. For nearly a decade, it has united communities through music, live broadcasts, and collective action to support urgent medical causes.
Today, the mission is clear and critical:
👉 There is no oncology hospital in the Banatul Montan region.
Patients from Caraș-Severin, Hunedoara, and Mehedinți are forced to travel hundreds of kilometers to Timișoara for cancer diagnosis and treatment.
Together with Asociația OncoHelp Timișoara, the goal is to build a modern oncology hospital in Reșița, providing local access to diagnosis, treatment, and palliative care.
This project is about healthcare, dignity, and hope - and it is a cause where the Romanian community, including the diaspora, can make a real and tangible difference.
