About this Event
For plus size and fat people— Seam Ripper is a sewing workshop where you learn about plus size patterning and how to alter your clothes. Under the guidance of Sally Louise, a queer fat sewist and artist, their hope is to give you the tools you need to combat fatphobia and create the wardrobe you deserve.
Seam Ripper is for anyone who struggles to find clothes that fit and affirm who they are because of the size of their body. Bring clothing that needs mended, altered, or tailored and I will support you through the process. All sewing levels welcome, beginners encouraged in this communal peer learning environment.
**If you have a sewing machine at home, it’s strongly encouraged that you bring it with you to practice and learn on.
$10/person
No one will be turned away due to lack of funds. If $10 is not an accessible option for you, please send us an email at [email protected] to RSVP for this workshop. You will not be asked to explain your financial situation.
