Help collect seagrass fruit and learn about local seagrass!Come down to the Leschenault Estuary to learn about the importance of seagrass to local ecosystems from seagrass experts while participating in restoration activities for our Seagrass for Swimmers project.
We need volunteers who are prepared to get a bit wet and muddy in the name of conservation to help collect seagrass fruit from local meadows.
What to bring
– Snorkel equipment
– Wetsuit, booties
– Sun protection including hat and sunscreen
– Drinking water
There are two 90 minute sessions, one at 8am and one at 10am.
Children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian and be competent swimmers (level 5 minimum).
Registration via the OzFish website is essential. We hope to see you there!
