Would you like to bring joy to seafarers who will not be home with their families for Christmas? Our port chaplains bring satchels filled with gifts to the ships they visit in the weeks prior to Christmas. Later, on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, when the ship is in the middle of the ocean, the captain holds a holiday celebration and every crew member will open their satchels, each containing:· One Sweatshirt – hooded or unhooded (size L-XL)
· Three Pairs of Socks – thermal or white gym
· One Casual Pullover T-Shirt (size M-XL)
· One Can of Nuts or Large Bar of Chocolate
· A Christmas Card from you!
We had enough hats donated, so we do not need that item this year.
Please Note: Most of the Seafarers are men, so we have been asked to keep that in mind with our gifts.
Place your donations in the collection basket in the Narthex or drop it off at the church office by November 19th.
