Join us for a session of cetacean watching with Stuart Baines in partnership with Sea Watch Foundation.
About this Event

Lead by Sea Watch Foundation volunteer Stuart Baines, join us for another Sea Watch event where we will learn how monitoring the numbers and locations of whales and dolphins can give valuable knowledge of the health of our marine environment.

During the session we will watch out to sea from Marine Drive and record what cetaceans we can find. We cannot guarantee any cetacean sightings on the day, although there is often a variety of sea birds and other wildlife that offer some interest!

On the day (Please read):

 • Please check your emails prior to the event. If the weather and sea conditions are unfavourable we will cancel the event via the email you provide when booking your tickets.
 • There will be binoculars and ID guides are available for your use free of charge, but please feel free to bring your own.
 • Please meet us at the Tea Pot Café (East Pier Sandside, Scarborough YO11 1PG) at the start of the session, from there we will walk approximately 10 minutes along Marine Drive to our cetacean watching spot!
 • The nearest free toliets are located near the Tea Pot Café for a small fee.
 • There is ample paid parking along Marine Drive.
 • If you have reserved a ticket and cannot attend please contact us before the event so we can offer the tickets to others.

Accessibility:

We strive to make our activities as accessible as possible where we can, to discuss how we can make accommodations at this event please contact Katie at [email protected].
