Join the Butler Flats, a five-member vocal harmony singing group, on Saturday, May 18, at 12:00pm for a performance of traditional sea chanteys. The group originated from the Greater New Bedford Sea Chantey chorus members who felt disheartened when their regular performance schedule concluded in the fall.
One of the singers took the initiative to invite specific members to establish a sub-group, aiming to prevent skills from stagnating during the winter months.
Collectively, they boast over a hundred years of experience in singing sea music and are also avid Museum members, eager to contribute their talents to the program.
