SDRVC BioBlitz Hike at Piedras Pintadas Trail with Jeff Nordland and Don Rideout
Join us for a day of friendly competition with exploration and discovery of the San Dieguito River Valley; get ready to uncover the amazing biodiversity this area has to offer with help from expert herpetologist Jeff Nordland expert botanist Don Rideout and the iNaturalist app!
Our expedition will be a hands-on experience where you can observe and learn about various plants and animals that call this watershed home; it's a great opportunity to connect with nature and experts in the field while participating in species observations.
The City Nature Challenge is an international event that started out as a competition between Los Angeles and San Francisco and takes place digitally in the iNaturalist app which can be downloaded to any smart device.

This hike will be a unique opportunity to learn about the biodiversity of the San Dieguito Watershed while hiking through it with taxa experts! Come ready to hike and collect data on iNaturalist.
This event will take place Sunday April 27th starting at 9:30AM beginning at Rancho Bernardo Community Park then we will walk the Piedras Pintadas Trail.
