About this Event
Software Defined Radio (SDR) opens the door to hidden worlds of wireless and radio frequency technology. For very little cost and just a few minutes of training, you will monitor local radio traffic, track aircraft.
Delving further, you’ll use specialized hardware and software, like the Flipper Zero and HackRF, copy RFID and sub-GHz signals, and even generate your own transmissions for tactical use.
Skill Level: Beginner – Intermediate
What You Will Learn:
Radio frequency and antenna basics, SDR concepts, SDR for intelligence collection, RTL-SDR and HackRF basics, the DragonOS operating system. Flipper Zero basics, and a lot more.
What You Will Need:
Laptop running Windows 10/11 or Ubuntu 22.04 (MacOS support may vary, M-series not recommended)
Ability to access BIOS/UEFI to change boot order (we'll be using DragonOS live USB drives)
Hypervisor to run DragonOS (optional as a backup)
Bring your own Flipper Zero and/or HackRF (if available)
