About this Event
A new conference
The SDIA Digital Sustainability Conference on 01 December 2022 at a prestigious venue in Berlin, will bring together the entire digital ecosystem to unite in a common purpose to determine how to measure and reduce the environmental impact of growing Digitalization and the Digital Economy. From software developers and architects to product managers and engineers, data center operators and vendors to policymakers, the industry can ensure that it not only contributes through its own actions, but that it can also make clean, green digital platforms available to everyone on the journey.
Together, the sector will share knowledge and understand how to take effective action through collaboration, transparency, and utilizing the SDIA’s Roadmap to build a Sustainable Digital Infrastructure by 2030, guided by the EU Commission’s “Fit for 55” initiative.
Comparative to other sectors, the digital sector is still in its infancy. Now presents the perfect opportunity to embed our values and societal principles, and direct its path of sustainable development, consciously and on purpose. There is an increasing urgency as the pace of digitalization accelerates, embedding emerging technologies in all types of businesses and organizations.
The digital sector can lead by example through its interconnected community of users, applications, digital products and services. Digital technology holds the potential to improve our world significantly, but only by rectifying its negative environmental and social impact first, with no respite in developing, and exceeding targets for a better world.
Unique format and insights
A unique ecosystem demands a unique conference format. The Digital Sustainability Conference brings everyone together, from every aspect of the sector, to create a shared vision of what a sustainable digital sector can look like. With an agenda driven entirely by the issues to be addressed, focused on discerning real actionable intelligence.
State of Digital Sustainability Report
The result of the conference will be a State of Digital Sustainability Report with exclusive insights from speakers and delegates, a summary of all conference content, surveys, research, and event demographics. The price of the report is €495, or complimentary as part of the delegate package.
Dedicated content tracks
Through dedicated content tracks, the conference program will break out to cover different parts of the value chain comprising digital products, services and digital transformation. The program will address how to reduce the environmental footprint of the digital sector, and the policies needed to accelerate this transformation.
Each content track is specifically tailored to a segment of the value chain, comprising keynotes, presentations, and content-rich panel discussions covering an expansive range of subjects. The conference will provide all stakeholders, from developers to data center owners and policymakers, the knowledge needed to act now and into the future.
In addition, the program will bring everyone together with a large-scale community building exercise, uniting actors across all digital sectors to encourage and facilitate collaboration, applying the newfound knowledge and broadening perspectives.
For this collaborative, all industry approach, community is key.
The conference program will culminate in dedicated community-building activities and shared experiences, from the simple act of cooking together to a boat trip and sightseeing, creating the space to deepen the connections made.
Supporting this fresh, unique conference is the SDIA, a community led Alliance that invites all actors from across the digital sector to come together, collaborate, and innovate in establishing a shared path towards transparency and sustainability.
