Join one of our expert guides for a sculpture tour where you will be introduced to Harlow’s unique sculptures. It starts and ends at the Harlow Museum & Walled Gardens which is home to a number of sculptures. Listen as your guides share their knowledge of these artworks, their makers and Harlow itself. The tour end with some light refreshments.
This tour will take you to see some of our most iconic sculptures including 'Contrapuntal Form's by Barbara Hepworth and 'Not In Anger' by Leon Underwood. To link with our new exhibition 'Gerda and Her Guardians' at the Gibberd Gallery there will also be the opportunity to see 'Julia' by Gerda Rubinstein.
If you wish to make a day of it, Harlow Museum is holding a free Archaeology Fair 10am – 2pm.
There will be a range of stalls showcasing local archaeology. Oxford Archaeology will be bringing recent finds from the Gilden Park dig. The Museum will have a stand exhibiting Harlow’s history through archaeology. There will also be children’s activities offered. More attendees to be announced.

'Gerda and Her Guardians' opens on 12 July at the Gibberd Gallery, Civic Centre, CM20 1WG. The exhibition runs until 14 September. Open 11am-4pm Monday - Saturday. Closed Sundays and Bank Holidays. Admission is free.
For the Tour please wear sensible walking shoes and bring a bottle of water.
Getting to Harlow Museum & Walled Gardens
By train: There are two train stations in Harlow, Harlow Mill and Harlow New Town. The closest station is Harlow Mill.
By tube: The Closest tube station is Epping, on the central line but a bus will need to be taken the rest of the way.
By Bus: The nearest bus stop is on First Avenue. Bus services available on this route are as follows: 59, 508, 509 and 510.
Harlow Museum & Walled Gardens has a car park that is free to use for visitors. Please let us know in advance if you have any access needs or requirements, such as disabled parking.
Bicycles can be stored on cycle racks within the museum’s courtyard.
