Scruggs Volunteer Fire Department & Rescue Squad needs volunteers!MONTHLY MEETINGS ARE ON THE FOURTH WEDNESDAY OF EVERY MONTH AT 7:30PM, except for November. The November meeting is the 3rd Wednesday and there is no meeting in December. The meeting is held at the Firehouse upstairs at 2130 Bluewater Dr., Moneta VA 24121
This is a public meeting welcoming new volunteers and those that have an interest in joining to help the community.
Our department is 100% volunteer, and we are continuously looking for new members to join our ranks as volunteer firefighters, emergency medical technicians, divers and administrative/support personnel.
Examples of Volunteer Positions Include:

Minimum Requirements: Sixteen (16) years of age or older and pass a thorough background check.

In addition, the Scruggs FST (Dive Team) provides water search, recovery services and underwater investigation for Smith Mountain Lake and the Commonwealth of Virginia."
